Zimbabwean born, UK based artist Gerrad Mukuyu aka Gerrvd brings a blend of afro-pop, hip hop with a jazzy tinge to make feel good songs that no ear can deny.
Gerrvd’s style draws on powerful chord progressions, textured ambience, vocals and other sampled elements to create immersive and intricate soundscapes with strong emotional resonance.
In the first quarter of 2019, Gerrvd released his debut album titled “Energy”, setting the record straight on what he had packed up for the rest of the year, FIRE. The mixed bag album brought together artists as Njay Oh on Anopenga and King98 on Relax.

Leaning on the success of his debut album, Gerrvd released an emotion evoking single, Paulina, that he described as “something most men have thought of”. The single released on the 1st of August 2019 has risen to unimaginable heights, landing itself on Spotify’s coveted editorials playlists (African Heat & Peppeh). Since its release, Paulina has amassed over 100k streams on all platforms with listeners from over 81 countries. Paulina currently holds 4 top 200 places in 4 countries. As a completely independent artist with no promotional or recording deals, Gerrvd has reached peaks that exceed expectations.
